Supporting United Way

Volunteer MBC against Poverty in Peel

United Way Greater Toronto addresses local poverty by supporting people impacted and supporting the neighbourhoods they live in. They do this work by strengthening a network of agencies that function as the GTA’s social safety net.

Every fall, Volunteer MBC comes together to raise funds to support the vital work of United Way Greater Toronto.

Scrabble Against Poverty 2024

This year, we are playing some friendly Scrabble games for this worthy cause. You are encouraged to join Volunteer MBC staff and volunteers to have fun and increase our impact. The event will be on Thursday, November 7th. Your donation (suggested: $20) will cover event costs and all proceeds will support our United Way campaign. Of course, you can give more if your heart desires! All players are asked to register, so that we can plan accordingly.

It will take place at Community Door Brampton (map). Dinner will be served between 6-7PM and games will begin at 7PM.

Scrabble games will be administrated by our friends from the Mississauga Scrabble Club.

For experienced players, you can sign up into the Competitive tournament.
If you’d like to play more casually and/or leave earlier, sign up for the Casual format.
