Elder Help Peel (EHP) is a charitable organization that serves older adults and seniors age 55+ within the Regions of Peel. EHP fosters community connections and independence in Seniors through education, activities and support services. These services are critical in helping shape the community as the population ages so that seniors continue to be valued and relevant in our community. For twenty-five years, EHP has worked hard to deliver on its mandate “Elders Working Together” and to ensure that EHP remains relevant and reflective of the community it serves. We seek Event Day Volunteers for Elder Help Peel’s "Healthy Living, Aging Well” Seniors Fair Event being held on Sunday, October 16th. “Healthy Living, Aging Well” Seniors Fair Event Day Volunteers are an important part of the success of this event.

Whether you will be helping with site set up/tear down or greeting and directing participants, there is a volunteer position for you!


Key Responsibilities of the Event Volunteers:

  • Greet and engage participants during registration and activities
  • Directing participants and handing out information packages to participants
  • Work with the team to help with set up and proper take down of all props, tables/chairs, banners
  • Manage the Raffle & Silent Auction tables
  • Assist with decorations
  • Maintain a tidy work space
  • Photography
  • and much more!

All instructions will be given to volunteers on-site. If you have a certain skill you would like to offer, let us know!

About You

  • You love participating in a variety of events
  • You have some knowledge of or are interested socializing with older adults and seniors 55+
  • Access to own vehicle or public transportation required
  • Flexible and able to volunteer during weekdays and weekends
  • Customer focused and friendly personality
  • Great energy and enthusiasm
  • Team-oriented and community-minded
  • Communicative and works well in public environments
  • Passionate and eager to make a significant impact
  • Some volunteer roles might require lifting up to 15 lbs.

Time Commitment
This is a Special Event commitment starting 2022-10-16 AND ending 2022-10-16
Shifts are available on the following days
 - Sunday Morning, Sunday Afternoon

Your Commitment:

Availability on event day – Sunday, October 16 (once registered, someone from the event committee will be in contact to confirm shift and role)

Shift commitment 7 to 8 hours with break provided
