A recently founded not-for-profit cultural association (2021), Caledon South Asian Association (CSAA) is expanding its presence in the Town of Caledon for the purpose of increasing cultural awareness of South Asian culture to the residents of Caledon and facilitating access to resources and help ensure accessible resources and services are available to South Asians in Caledon that they are most in need of.

As part of Canada Day, 'Celebrate Caledon' is celebrated locally, as well, on July 1st, and CSAA will be a participant by way of a Caledon South Asian Association (CSAA) Desk. Our Event Volunteers will welcome and invite those attendees walking by our information Desk to pause and learn about CSAA, including handing them a CSAA flyer that informs the public about our services and opportunity for membership. Event attendees who express interest will also be invited to enter their name and email address in our 'Guest Registry', for purposes of follow up. See DESCRIPTION, below.

Gaining social skills and contacts ('networking') within the Caledon community + Further experience in communication skills by listening and responding to those who want to talk + Excellent 'marketing & promotion' volunteering opportunity + Volunteers will receive 'community service' hours recognition (incl. a document that records your hours) + Add to your 'volunteering resume'!

EVENT DATE: July 1st, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Shifts will be assigned, depending on your availability, and may be 1, 2, to a maximum of 4, hours each).

Volunteers should plan their 'travel time' to the event site (see MAP, below), so that they arrive 10 minutes before their shift begins.
