See Social Media (below) for online 'links' and further information about FSP.

You can make a difference in your community by joining Family Services of Peel's volunteer Board of Directors. We are recruiting leaders (including YOU, in your community) right now to provide FSP with commitment and skills that will augment and enhance the quality and performance of our Board, plus significantly increase FSP's capacity to meet its mission and strategic goals.

Until COVID-19 health and safety measures are relaxed, the 'role' will be a virtual volunteering opportunity.

FSP offers volunteer Board membership that is typical of a leadership 'role' in a community service organization. Our governance follows the 'Carver Policy Governance Model'. Volunteers who have served on not-for-profit committees and boards will be familiar with the 'position', its general activities, scope, and responsibilities. In particular, besides seeking 'diversity and inclusiveness', FSP needs and prefers volunteers who bring one or more skills/experience to this 'role':

  • clinical/healthcare
  • marketing ('brand' promotion, community presence, our 'message')
  • public relations
  • labour relations (human resources)

PLEASE APPY at your earliest opportunity. Volunteers with a 'profile' within Volunteer MBC's Referral system (please upload your resume) may click on the yellow box 'Apply Now!' (above) to apply for this leadership opportunity and have immediate access to the FSP webpages that relate to the Board membership APPLICATION PROCESS (you will be requested to email a letter of interest & resume to [email protected], with subject line: Board Membership Application).

SCREENING of applicants will be 'virtual' (telephone/email/online interviewing). After you apply, please monitor your 'Junk/Spam' email folders for communications from FSP.
