Office administration for this 'volunteer position' will focus on 'paperless' processing/management, plus tasks which can be carried through remotely (from the volunteer's residence), using the Internet, telephone, applicable computer office (esp. Microsoft OFFICE):
- File 'sharing', saving, retrieval, and electronic storage (as part of record organization/management)
- Receipt/processing of email
- Scheduling (using electronic calendars and related software/tools)
- Client management
- Telephone reception (answering, re-directing, messaging)
- Monitoring the organization's website and 'social media'
- Research, when needed or requested
- Scanning, saving documents and other records

While this 'role' involves a significant degree of delegation/independence, the volunteer will communicate/meet regularly with staff and others online.

'Connect 4 Life' is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in the Region of Peel. Its mission: "To enhance the potential of individuals with disabilities by strengthening their independence and contributions to society; and to promote positive social change by transforming public perception."

Notwithstanding the current COVID-19 Emergency, we seek a capable, committeed volunteer who is prepared to step into a 'virtual' role, graduating to 'in person' attendances once the pandemic is brought under control. The volunteer will support the organization's goals and activities insofar as 'virtual' (remote) involvement permits in a vital capacity.

Position Qualifications
● Excellent communication skills (English, written and oral)
● You are friendly, engaging, committed and eager to learn and contribute
● Solid telephone and associated business etiquette (emails, etc.)
● To establish continuity, we ask for a commitment to engage in this 'role' for at least 6 months
● Proficient and comfortable in Microsoft OFFICE 365, its features, and in GOOGLE 'apps'
● Reliable access to the Internet, with appropriate devices, software (ie. PC, laptop)
● Prior 'office administration' experience is helpful, and you're ready and able to adapt to a 'virtual' approach
● You're reliable, organized, meticulous, proficient in time management, with multi-tasking capacity
● You have research capability
● Committed to follow Connect 4 Life's policies and procedures

PLAN is for the volunteer to keep the equivalent of Connect 4 Life's weekday 'office hours' (9 to 5), although working remotely may involve a more flexible apprioach in reference to some tasks. Specifics will be discuss during the interview stage.

Successful applicant will receive Orientation and training at appropriate timing soon after the interview process is completed.
During COVID-19, this process will be 'virtual'.
