This leadership 'role' includes the following engagements/responsibilities:
- Facilitate advocacy and volunteer activities by supporting Provincial Leaders and volunteers
- Lead volunteer info sessions, working meetings/calls, and online discussions with volunteers
- Lead online webinar trainings to expand volunteers' skills (leadership, volunteer engagement, writing effectively, etc.)
- Identify community outreach opportunities, and at times, participate in events to facilitate recruitment and awareness building
- Compile monthly reports on actions from Provincial Leaders and submit to staff
- Collaborate with our national staff based in Ottawa, with your fellow Regional Coordinators, and with volunteers in your region
- Collaborate with local liked-minded organizations either to raise funds or promote awareness
- Lead by example by taking actions (political engagement, media, 'networking' with local community stakeholders)

'Results Canada' is a global movement of passionate volunteers committed to advocating for a world without extreme poverty. We take action by reaching out to Members of Parliament and other government officials/agencies, nationally/provincially/locally, including local community stakeholders, plus by being successfully published in the media with the aim of leveraging better funding for policies and programs that alleviate extreme poverty. Each advocacy campaign harnesses a strategic opportunity to make an impact by formulating a concrete and timely ask to present to our elected officials.

Under the direction of the Public Engagement team, each volunteer Regional Coordinator is responsible for supporting and engaging Results Canada's volunteers and supporting campaign engagement and expansion efforts in their respective regions of west, central, and eastern Canada.

Regional Coordinators will benefit from being integral and essential to the mission of Results Canada and a valued resource to build a network of dedicated volunteers. In addition to the close relationships with community members, volunteers and staff, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced global health experts and highly trained advocates who share your deep passion for international development. You will expand your skills, receive a solid foundation of advocacy and community engagement by addressing current issues (ex. health inequity, COVID-19) and gain practical, real-world experience volunteering including with remote teams.

Position Qualifications
● You are keen to be part of a community initiative to end extreme extreme poverty in your local community, and provincially/nationally
● You've respect for diversity and inclusiveness, and you are committed to impart that embracive attitude in others
● You're prepared and available for a TWELVE (12) MONTH engagement
● Willingness and ability to maintain a flexible schedule, with evening activities and occasional weekend involvement
● Past experience as a volunteer leader in your commumity is welcome, with demonstrated leadership skills
● Ability to be a persuasive advocate for our cause, plus fearless in your outreach to volunteers, government, and the public
● Eastern Coordinators: strong English (and French) communication skills
● You are comfortable volunteering remotely (this 'position' is 'virtual', and the requirements/restrictions of COVID-19 will be respected)
● Reliable access to the Internet with appropriate devices (PC, laptop), plus experience with online platforms like Zoom, Slack, Google Suite, Google Groups Canva, social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
