In order to meet demand for deliveries of food, PLUS have the capacity to deliver the meals so generously supplied by our corporate 'partners', Sai Dham asks for VOLUNTEERS to APPLY FOR the 'role' of FOOD DELIVERY DRIVER (In order to qualify, you will have a Class 'G' Driver's Licence (see 'Position Qualifications', below). Because the HEALTH and SAFETY of all involved in our mission is FIRST and FOREMOST, volunteers will be organized and trained in accordance with rigorous 'physical separation' requirements needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our procedures follow strict Federal/Provincial/Region of Peel requirements. Procedures will ensure that you do not enter the residences of the meal recipients, and that physical 'social distancing' is respected at all times. Qualifications

• Minimum Age - 18 / Maximum age - 65
• Valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's Licence AND access to a reliable, full insured motor vehicle
• Solid oral English communication skills
• Committed to learn and strictly abide by COVID-19 community emergency HEALTH & SAFETY rules
• Ability to adhere to weekly (daily) delivery schedules for deliveries, plus accessible by phone and/or Internet

Training

Training in food bank procedures with special attention to COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY RULES, as these relate to DELIVERIES of hampers to seniors. Must have mask and gloves. Under current conditions, training will be 'virtual': telephone, email, online 'module' (if applicable).
