'Delivery Drivers' will use reliable transportation to make deliveries of hot food to designated seniors in Brampton, 2 days per week (Tuesday & Thursday) for 2-3 hours.

The current COVID-19 Emergency necessitates PHYSICAL 'social distancing' among Peel residents, which leaves many isolated and vulnerable people at risk. Roots Community Services has an URGENT NEED for volunteer 'Delivery Drivers' to deliver hot food to seniors in Brampton who truly are in need and who will demonstrate open, warm appreciation for what you do!

There truly is no greater contribution that you can make than to assist others when the world that you live in is in crisis, particularly when needs are URGENT, even life saving.

Position Qualifications

● Full Class 'G' Ontario Driver's Licence (or equivalent that is recognized in Ontario as legally valid)
● Access to a reliable, adequately insured, SANITARY motor vehicle
● Volunteer Delivery Drivers will work ALONE; carrying hot bagged lunches
● Solid oral English communication skills
● Knowledge of local streets in the community where you will deliver is a definite asset (plus you have access to 'Google Map' tracking)
● Available Tuesday & Thursdays for 2-3 hours
● Easily reachable by phone/text/email
● Ability to LEARN/ADHERE TO STRICT 'COVID-19 Health & Safety Rules and Procedures' (training is MANDATORY)

SCREENING will be 'virtual' (by telephone/email or virtual), unless advised otherwise (may include a short questionnaire).
