Pathways to employment
While Volunteer MBC does not place people in employment, we know that employment is a key factor in building a healthy community. We encourage our member organizations to inform us when they are hiring, so that we can share their employment opportunities with the community.

Capitalizing on volunteer experience
Volunteering can be a great way to gain experience and enhance your resume. The skills you can develop and demonstrate in a volunteer role can be leveraged to improve your employment prospects, but it requires knowing how to position that volunteer experience and finding roles that emphasize the particular skills you want to hone. As you gain the experience, you must learn how to identify the components of the volunteer experience that are transferrable to a desired employment opportunity. This means knowing how to communicate the value, impact and significance of your volunteerism. If you are looking to use volunteering as a springboard to meaningful employment, talk to us.
