Registered Non-Profit Charity based in Mississauga feeding hungry children in the communities of Peel Region. Charity is 100% volunteer run and has 3 programs. A Morning with Santa Christmas Breakfasts hosts approximately 1,500 people( 360 - 380 families) over 4 dates in December who, otherwise, would not have the opportunity to partake in the Season's festivities. Families are referred to us by food banks, shelters, schools, organizations dealing with child poverty. This program is specifically and especially designed for these food insecure families and/or financially insecure. A morning filled with the Magic of the Christmas Season where a nutritious and delicious buffet awaits our guests. Colouring books with crayons for each child, elves (students in need of community hours), carolers, arts and crafts, a puppet show, Christmas Crackers, Candy Canes, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a beautifully wrapped presentindividually addressed to each child to take home for Christmas morning. Our Summer Breakfast Program feeds 310- 350 children daily (Mondays - Fridays) for 5 -7 weeks in July and August. The children who attend our program depend on school breakfast programs during the school year for their daily nutrition. We work with 4 schools and are expending. "A Snack at a Time" this program supplies nutritious snacks/lunches to children attending schools in the Peel Region who don't bring snacks, lunch nor drinks to school. We are now providing that much needed daily nutrition to these children in 3 schools. Coats for Children is a children's coat drive during the months of September and October where donations of new and/or gently used coats and jackets, hat, mitts, gloves and socks are donated which are then distributed to children in need of winter outer ware. We work with 2 schools in Mississauga.
