St. John Ambulance, Peel-Dufferin Branch
The Peel-Dufferin Branch of St. John Ambulance has been providing first aid and CPR training and services to the community since it was established in 1966. As a result, the branch has had a direct impact on the safety and well-being of the citizens of Mississauga, Brampton and Orangeville. Certified instructors teach life-saving skills tailored for the workplace, home and recreational needs. Recognized as the industry leader, St. John Ambulance provides a proven combination of expert trainers, personalized instruction, how-to-videos and learn-as-you-go training guides. Volunteers are the backbone of the St. John Ambulance organization. Our various community service groups are supported by a dedicated team of over 200 volunteers who contribute in excess of 25,000 hours each year to support our programs. The groups consist of our Youth Group and Youth Leadership program which provide young people between six and twenty, the chance to learn new life skills and contribute actively to their community. Skills learned include training in first aid, heath care, life and safety skills and promote social, education and personal development through community service leisure activities.
