As a proven community leader, professionally trained facilitator and authentic leadership expert, Tammy has an innate ability to build a sense of community around a cause she cares deeply about.
After a 20-year career in corporate sales at Bell Canada, she made a career shift by completing formal training in Leadership Coaching and Adult Learning Theories. This lead her to the non-profit world by starting up her own volunteer initiative called, Caledon’s Leadership Forum for Women which was a collaborative partner of Caledon’s Community Hub.
Looking back, she was always drawn to non-profits. During her time in the private sector, she eagerly volunteered for community give back roles such as the Junior Achievement and United Way programs.
Tammy believes when a community of caring individuals come together for a common cause, anything is possible. It is for this reason she joined the Volunteer MBC Team and is proud to be the Liaison for the partnership between the Volunteer Centre and the VLP Network.
