Catherine Jagdeo has been working as a non-profit professional for over 17 years – she has extensive experience with community outreach, fundraising and program development, with a focus on volunteer management. A graduate of York University with a BA in Psychology, Catherine has also studied Volunteer Management, Fund and Resource Development, and most recently, Human Resources.
During her career, she has worked for a variety of organizations in social services, academia and healthcare, which has allowed her to broaden her understanding of the sector and the unique challenges it faces no matter what the size of the organization may be.
She is currently the Senior Volunteer Coordinator at one of the busiest hospitals in Canada working with a team of upwards of 850 volunteers. When she isn’t working, she volunteers her time as a Peer Reviewer for the Imagine Canada Standards Program, and most recently accepted the role as Chair of the newly established Volunteer Leaders in Peel Network.
